A dog is man’s best friend, they say.
Hard to argue with that.
But some dogs are more than friends.
For blind, deaf or otherwise disabled people,
a dog can be a necessity to help with the tasks of daily life.

I am currently working with the KNGF (The Dutch guide dog association)
training a puppy to be a guide dog for the visually impaired.
It’s hard work, but very rewarding.

I also care for dogs while their owners are away.
Either on a daily basis or longer term like holidays.
This could be in their own home, or they come and stay with me, my family,
and Deagan, my Irish Wolfhound.

I also help owners if they need assistance with training young dogs.
